I can’t keep it to myself/can’t stand the anticipation. So apparently both Kaine and Bayh have been given the “thanks for playing” calls, and the Secret Service has been sent to Joe Biden’s Delaware home. And don’t get me started on the charter plane heading from Chicago Midway to Delaware. Oh, Joe-mentum baby. It’s on. AFGHANISTAN U.S.-led troops kill 30 militants KABUL — U.S.-led troops attacked a compound where Taliban leaders were meeting and killed 30 militants, American and Afghan military officials said. But the Afghan Interior Ministry said U.S. airstrikes killed 76 civilians, including 50 children younger than 15. The U.S. said it would investigate the report. Meanwhile, France’s Prime Minister Francois Fillon said he wants his country’s parliament to vote on whether to keep its forces in Afghanistan after 10 French soldiers were killed in an ambush Monday. While polls indicate that French public support for the Afghan mission has fallen, the parliament is considered nearly certain to approve keeping troops in Afghanistan.
