Longhorns move up to third place in BCS rankings

With less than a month of the regular season remaining, Texas is one spot removed from the national championship game. But to get there, the Longhorns must win out, including Saturday’s road game at Kansas, and watch the two teams ahead of them in the rankings and those just behind. Here’s how the Bowl Championship Series standings shook out Sunday:
