Doctors Say Marrow Transplant May Have Cured AIDS

An American man who suffered from AIDS appears to have been cured of the disease 20 months after receiving a targeted bone marrow transplant normally used to fight leukemia, his doctors said Wednesday.

Connecticut routs Team SRP in exhibition finale (AP)

Tina Charles had 16 points and 11 rebounds to help No. 1 Connecticut beat Team SRP 103-37 in an exhibition game Wednesday night. Freshman guard Caroline Doty added 15 points, eight rebounds and four assists for the Huskies, who had six players score in double figures. Connecticut won its two preseason games by an average of 58.5 points.
