As “American Idol” hopeful Kendall Beard prepares for her live performance on Tuesday’s show, she wants her East Texas fans to know she appreciates the support they have shown her. “I want to thank them so much for their support and everything they’ve done for me and everybody who has been rooting for me,” she said. “I am so amazed by it. It’s really helped me through, knowing that they’re proud of me and supportive, and they’ve got my back.” On the show Beard is listed as being from Austin, rather than from Lufkin, something that some Lufkin residents have questioned, according to posts on the American Idol blog hosted by The Lufkin Daily News.
