Parents honor fallen Andrews soldier with a coffee shop

Jerry Bevel tears up when he recalls how the whole town turned out when his son, Cpl. Ray Bevel, was brought home from Iraq. Ray Bevel was killed in action in April 2007. A few months later, Jerry and his wife, Lonna, opened Cpl. Ray’s Coffee, the only coffee shop in Andrews, to honor their son. All of Andrews (population 9,652) turned out to greet the fallen soldier.
