Former President Bill Clinton is said to have arrived in Pyongyang on a surprise trip to try to win release of American journalists Laura Ling and Euna Lee, who have been sentenced to 12 years hard labor.

The reclusive nation’s official Korean Central News Agency said Tuesday that Clinton was greeted at the airport by North Korean officials, including the country’s chief nuclear negotiator Kim Kye Gwan.

KCNA says, “A small girl presented a bouquet to Bill Clinton.”

Earlier, South Korean Yonhap news agency reported the ex-president was en-route to Pyongyang.
