Crowd rallies in Austin for U.S. health care plan

With one round down in the national health care reform fight, U.S. Rep. Lloyd Doggett, D-Austin, on Saturday fired up a friendly crowd at the Texas Capitol for what he said would be an “extended boxing match.” The U.S. House of Representatives approved a health care reform bill Nov. 7, but Doggett said there are many rounds left to go before legislation reaches the desk of President Barack Obama. “We need an engaged citizenry to say we won’t stand for anything less than genuine reform,” Doggett said.
