The Glenn Howard express continues to thunder through the Brier in Halifax.
The Ontario skip had an simple time of it on Tuesday, downing P.E.I. 8-2 in the early draw and knocking off Saskatchewan 9-5 in 10th draw action.
Howard, a three-time Brier winner, is now 7-0 and next faces Newfoundland and Labrador’s Brad Gushue.
In the tournament’s largest upset to date, winless Nova Scotia beat Alberta’s Kevin Koe rink 13-8.
Ian Fitzner-LeBlanc’s crew jumped out to a nine-point lead scoring a six-point end, but poor shot making allowed Alberta to slowly creep back in until a Nova Scotia deuce in the ninth sealed the game.
Newfoundland and Labrador advanced to 5-1 with a 7-7 win over Jeff Richard of B.C. (2-4) and Quebec went to 5-2 downing P.E.I. 8-7 in an extra end.
